The automotive and tech worlds have delivered significant updates this week, with BMW announcing performance boosts and improved efficiency for its core M-division performance models.
The M240i’s 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder turbocharged engine now generates 386bhp, an increase from 374bhp, while also reducing CO2 emissions.
More notably, the M340i features the same 3.0-litre engine but has been upgraded with a new mild-hybrid system, resulting in a power output of 387bhp and 540Nm of torque, marking an 18bhp and 40Nm increase over the outgoing unit.
These ‘i’ models serve as the entry point into the firm’s performance brand.
Meanwhile, Apple users are being urged to take advantage of a rare, limited-time Amazon deal on official charging accessories.
Since 2020, Apple has not shipped a charger in the box with new smartphones, making these discounted adapters essential.
The offer includes a 20W USB-C plug, capable of refilling a device from zero to 50 per cent in approximately 30 minutes, now available for £15, down from £19.
Faster 30W and 35W Dual USB-C adapters are also included in the deal, with Amazon emphasising the safety benefits of using Apple-made accessories over potentially dangerous unofficial power packs.
The news comes as Apple confirmed the release of new smartphones, including the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and the ultra-slim iPhone 17 Air.
