AI Firm to Reconstruct Lost 'Magnificent Ambersons' Footage

Film-making studio Fable has announced a new project to recreate the lost portions of Orson Welles' classic film, 'The Magnificent Ambersons'.
The company will use its AI tools to assist in reconstructing the 43 minutes of footage that were cut from the 1942 film and subsequently destroyed by the Hollywood studio RKO.
Edward Saatchi, CEO of Fable, expressed hope that this project would demonstrate a positive contribution that AI can make to storytelling, especially for such a significant film by a 'great storyteller'.
