A major road in Gloucester was completely closed following a multi-vehicle crash on the evening of Tuesday, 30 September.
The A430 closed after the reported collision, with traffic maps showing long delays in the area from Hempsted Lane to Westgate Street.
Roads and traffic monitoring site Inrix reported the crash at 5.53pm, stating the A430 Castle Meads Way was blocked in both directions with queueing traffic due to the multi-vehicle accident from Llanthony Road to A417 Over Causeway.
Inrix reported the road reopened just after 8pm, though it remains unclear if anyone suffered injuries in the incident.
During the closure, traffic monitoring services advised drivers to avoid the area due to significant congestion building in the city centre.
The collision led to heavy traffic forming in the area, particularly along the Vaughan Way approach to the flyover.
Google Maps showed travel times were much slower than usual during the incident.
Leicester Area Traffic Controls reported that congestion was building, especially on the Vaughan Way approach.
The closure affected one lane at the bottom of Burleys Flyover towards St Matthews Way.
Following the reopening, slow traffic remained in the area for some time as queues gradually cleared.
Leicestershire Police stated they were not aware of the incident, though both Inrix and Leicester Area Traffic Control had been reporting on the collision throughout the evening.
The lane previously blocked was eventually cleared, allowing normal traffic flow to resume.
