Prince William, 43, revealed his intentions for the future of the monarchy in a new TV appearance on 'The Reluctant Traveler' with Canadian actor Eugene Levy, 78.
While touring Windsor Castle and having a pint at a local pub, William stated, 'I think it’s safe to say that change is on my agenda'.
He emphasised that he does not 'fear' change and enjoys the idea of being able to bring about 'changes that I think need to happen,' though they would not be 'overly radical'.
The potential reforms include making the Royal Family less formal and more relatable, and adopting a permanent base at Windsor instead of Buckingham Palace, which would mark a significant shift from tradition.
Furthermore, William hinted he may be more outspoken on social issues than his father, King Charles III, stating, 'I want to create a world in which my son is proud of what we do in a world and a job that actually does impact people’s lives for the better'.
He also suggested he would focus on a smaller number of key charitable causes, such as homelessness and mental health, to make a greater 'impact'.
While he plans to maintain the 'slimmed-down monarchy,' he may utilise non-working royals like Zara Tindall for support at certain events.
