At Oxford Crown Court, 35-year-old asylum seeker Amin Abedi Mofrad faces trial for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl in an alleyway in Oxford city centre last February.
The prosecution, led by Patrick Upward KC, claims Mofrad approached the intoxicated teenager and her friend on a bench, making flattering comments before groping her and ignoring her protests.
He reportedly declared, 'I want to f you, I want you to be our sex doll,' before forcing her to the ground and leading her to the alley for the assault.
Mofrad allegedly sent triumphant texts to friends, including a photo of him kissing the victim and a message stating, 'I have never fd a py like that.' Police found contacts in his phone with a misspelled version of the victim’s name.
The teenagers reported the incident months later, leading to Mofrad’s arrest in September and detention in February.
He denies the charges of rape and sexual assault, insisting he never raped anyone.
The ongoing trial has sparked discussions on consent, victim vulnerability, and the responsibilities of those in public spaces, with the court scrutinizing evidence like text messages and CCTV footage.
