As part of its centenary celebrations, Barcelona's metro system is opening two of its unused 'ghost stations' to the public for the first time.
The heritage sites, Correos and Gaudi stations, will be accessible for free in September, October, and November.
Visitors will be able to take guided tours of Gaudi, which was built in 1968 but never put into service, and walk along the tracks to reach Correos, which was in operation from 1934 to 1972.
Alongside the ghost stations, other heritage sites like the old Urquinaona spiral staircase and the Santa Eulalia workshop will also be open.
Visitors can even experience what it's like to be a train driver in the control center's driving simulator room.
The initiative is a way to celebrate the metro's 100-year history with its professionals and citizens.
TMB is offering 5,033 free tickets to these sites, with registration available on its website.
